DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Department of Homeland Security\, on September 25\, 2020\, published a Proposed Rule to change the period of admission to the U.S. for F and J Students and Scholars to a fixed period\, eliminating “Duration of Status (D/S).” The MIT International Scholars Office (ISchO) and International Students Office (ISO) will host this Forum to provide a summary of the Proposed Rule\, potential impact on MIT international students and scholars\, and address pre-submitted questions.
