Reiko Ohmura

International Student Advisor

Reiko joined the International Students Office in 2023 and currently works as an International Student Advisor.  Reiko’s role comprises of advising services to international students regarding their U.S. immigration status, employment, academics, health and wellness, and cultural adjustment concerns.

Reiko has been working in the International Education field since 2006, and most recently at Tufts University (Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy) as a Senior International Student & Scholar Advisor. 

Reiko is originally from Nagoya, Japan, and spent one year in Melbourne, Australia as a high school exchange student.  Reiko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology of Oceanic Islands from Chubu University (Aichi, Japan) and a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations (concentration: International Student & Scholar Advising and the U.S. immigration law) from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA).

Reiko is an avid sports fan, and her favorite sports genres are baseball, soccer, American Football, and the Olympics.  She also enjoys watching Korean dramas and movies.
