USDHS/USICE Continues March Guidance for Fall 2020 Term

On July 24, 2020, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), a division of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (USICE), issued a Broadcast Message and FAQ confirming that their March 2020 guidance regarding international students and online instruction for the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 terms will continue to be in effect for the Fall 2020 term. This is a confirmation following USDHS/USICE rescinding its July 6, 2020 guidance.

As a result of these two pieces of guidance, MIT issued “Fall 2020 USDHS Guidance on International Students – Update” guidance to our international students on July 29, which can be viewed on the ISO Updates news section on the MIT ISO website.
