How long will it take to get my OPT EAD card?

USCIS processing times have varied greatly over the past few years. While average processing times have been 90-100 days from date of USCIS receipt of the application, during the Spring/Summer 2019 (the busiest application period) we experienced processing times of 4 months or more. USCIS has indicated they now consider normal processing time for I-765 employment applications (which include OPT) of anywhere from 2.5 to 5 months. USCIS has indicated they are addressing resource issues to avoid long processing times in the future, we cannot guarantee processing times.
