COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements at US Ports-of-Entry No Longer Required as of May 12, 2023

The White House and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have announced that, effective May 12, 20223, non-U.S. citizen travelers entering the U.S. by air, land ports, or ferry terminals will no longer be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.

This announcement is based on the end of the travel restrictions based on Title 19 with the end of the Public Health Emergency and the termination of the Presidential Proclamation on air travel.

While presenting proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required to enter the U.S., it is still recommended that if a student/scholar has been vaccinated for COVID-19 that they have a copy of that documentation for them in case that information is needed for health/medical history reasons while in the U.S.
