Jury Duty: I am an international student and received a notice to serve jury duty. I’m I required to serve on a jury?

In order to serve on a jury in Massachusetts, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:
*Be a citizen of the United States
*Be 18 or older
*Be a resident of or live in Massachusetts for more than 50% of the year 
*Speak and understand English well enough to be able to participate in a trial 

As an international student, you are not a U.S. Citizen, so you are not eligible to serve.

Even if you are not eligible to serve on a jury, you must respond to the Jury Service notice that you received in the mail to notify that you are disqualified from serving.
