Take for granted
DEFINITION: It means to assume something is true without questioning it or this phrase may also mean to not be grateful for something or someone. Take for granted has a negative connotation, especially when used to mean to not appreciate someone.
EXAMPLES:
- “I took the weather for granted when I lived in Indonesia. Now I am struggling to get used to the cold weather in Boston.”
- “The things you take for granted someone else is praying for.”
